Faced sleeve opening

To create a faced sleeve opening, use a strip of fabric 3/4" (2 cm) wider and 3/4" (2 cm) longer than the finished opening (plus seam allowances).Clean-finish top and sides of facing piece. Transfer all pattern markings onto the sleeve. With right sides together, centre facing over marked opening line. From wrong side of fabric, stitch around sides and top of opening line approx. 3/8"(1 cm) away. Clip along opening line to within 3/8" of top seamline. Clip into corners. Turn facing to the inside and press. From right side of garment, topstitch around opening close to edge.
