Update your PFAFF® creative vision™ sewing and embroidery machine.

We strongly recommend you always update your creative vision™ sewing and embroidery machine with the latest software version.  On request from sewes, we have improved sme maxi stitches toreduce the risk of thread breaks (17504_5413).  There are no majorchanges in the macine functions in this latest update.  All the features from the previos version (17125_5413) are of course also included in this update.

How to update your sewing and embroidery machine with USB cable

1. Connect your sewing and embroidery machine to the computer with the USB Cable. Turn your machine on. Make sure the machine icon at the bottom right of your computer screen is active (active , not active  ).
   
   If you don't find the machine tray icon:
   Open 4D Configure. Click on the Send 1 tab and click on the "Embroidery machine Communication" button. 
   
   If you only have an inactive machine tray icon: 
   Make sure your machine is turned on and connected to your computer. 
   Please Note: You must use the same USB port as when you activated the machine communication at installation.
   
2. Connect your computer to the Internet 
3. Open the program 4D Configure (Go to Start/All Programs/4D Embroidery System/4D Configure). 
4. Click on “Smart Update”. You may be asked if your system has a dongle. Answer No. 
5. The program starts searching for the latest update version for your machine and a list with suggested downloads is presented. 
6. Click on "Download". You may get Security Warnings. Click Run to continue.. 
7. The machine Update Wizard will start. Follow the instructions given on screen.  
8. When the Update is complete your machine will automatically restart. 

How to update your sewing and embroidery machine with USB embroidery stick 
(requires version 17125_5413 or later in the machine)

1. Click on the linked zip-file below to download the update file. You need a file compression utility to open the file (WinZip or similar). 
2. Click on the .exe file to start the Update Wizard. You may get Security Warnings. Click Run to continue. 
3. The machine Update Wizard will start. Follow the instructions on screen and be sure to select "USB embroidery stick" as the update method. 
4. When the USB embroidery stick is prepared the Update Wizard will tell you to move it to your machine, start the update and follow the instructions on the Interactive Screen. 
5. When the update is complete your machine will automatically restart. Estimated time for the update is 13 minutes.
